DroneTeam Twente 2025
Support us and make our tricopeter airborne!
We are DroneTeam Twente, a team of 17 students from the University of Twente and Saxion, dedicated to advancing drone technology for humanitarian aid. This year, we’re competing in the prestigious IMechE UAS Challenge, where 40 international student teams design and showcase the best autonomous aid delivery drones. Our goal is to secure a Top 5 position.
For the first time in our team’s history, we’re introducing a tricopter design —a lightweight and efficient innovation that reduces drone weight, increases agility, and ensures reliability for real-world missions. This design represents a leap forward in drone technology.
In 2024, we’re also going Open Source, making it possible for anyone with a 3D printer and basic materials to produce their own affordable, high-quality drone. By sharing our designs, we aim to empower communities and organizations worldwide to build drones for humanitarian and medical purposes.
Our drone is specifically designed to autonomously deliver medical aid to hard-to-reach locations , offering life-saving solutions in disaster relief situations. With your support, we can improve, test, and bring this innovation to life. Every contribution makes a difference! Follow our progress on Instagram and LinkedIn.
