Solar Team Twente 2021
Power our panel!
Will you improve the performance of the solar panel of our next solar car? Contribute to building the most efficient solar-powered vehicle in the world by adopting a solar cell and help us win the Solar Challenge in Morocco in October 2021!
We are Solar Team Twente. We are a student team of nineteen ambitious students of Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the University of Twente. Our goal is to design and build the most efficient solar car of the world. Usually, we would put this car to the test in Australia at the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in October. However, this race has been cancelled by the coronavirus, which was a big shock to the team.
Fortunately, the team kept their heads up and set up an alternative: the Solar Challenge Morocco. Together with other solar teams from Europe and several partners, the students created the ultimate test for solar cars. In the race of more than 2500 kilometres through the Sahara, solar cars may only be powered by energy from the sun, making efficiency key to success. The race takes place in the end of October 2021.
It is our dream to win the prestigious Solar Challenge, but it requires a solar car of world class to win. Having an efficient solar panel is essential for having an efficient solar car. By adopting a solar cell, you will help the team make their dream come through. And who knows..? Maybe your own solar cell will make the difference for us!
